Show Notes:

Science News: I talk about eating potato chips while watching TV, air quality surprise in Rome, and super cows producing special milk.

Paranormal Corner: Jeffrey Keene was just a regular fire chief when he stumbled upon some interesting "coincidences" linking him and a Civil War general. Is Jeffrey Keene the reincarnation of General John Gordon?

If not, how do we explain the eerie similarities between these two men?

You can go to Jeffrey Keene's website HERE.
Another great article with pictures of birthmarks/scars can be found HERE.

Here's a letter written by Jeffrey Keene. Compare it to an old letter written by General John Gordon below:

"With my radio restored, man power and apparatus were brought in and put under the guidance of Acting Lieutenant Christopher Ackley. While setting up a plan of action, Lieutenant Ackley displayed good common sense, knowledge, training and a deep concern for the safety of firefighters under his command. A large amount of gas entered the structure by way of a open window. Though we tried to remove all possible sources of ignition, we were able to remove all but two. The owner informed us that the house contained an oil-fired furnace and a hot water heater. There was no way to shut them off from the inside or outside. Using metering devices, a positive pressure fan and opening and closing windows, the hazard was removed."

General John Gordon's letter describing how he and his men put out a fire in Pennsylvania:

"With great energy my men labored to save the bridge. I called on the citizens of Wrightsville for buckets and pails, but none were to be found. There was no lack of buckets and pails a little while later, when the town was on fire...My men labored as earnestly and bravely to save the town as they did to save the bridge. In the absence of fire-engines or other appliances, the only chance to arrest the progress of the flames was to form my men around the burning district, with the flank resting on the river's edge, and pass rapidly from hand to hand the pails of water. Thus, and thus only, was the advancing, raging fire met, and at a late hour of the night checked and conquered."

Notice how both men write in the same manner...the same "voice."

The issue I have always had with the theory of reincarnation is what is the point? What is the point of it if one doesn't remember the former life?

It would make more sense if you could take the experince from one life into the other.

What would be the underlying point of reincarnation? An unanswerable question, Iknow.

That's freakin cool! Keep up the good work my man.

I still think it's going to be Federer/Nadal with Federer getting leg 2 of the grand slam

Very cool podcast. I really enjoyed it. Seems to me that you're hitting a groove, now the trick is to keep it up. Congrats on getting picked up.

You know I was thinking about the calendar in relation to the last story. The calendar is a construct WE have created. It's a fairly arbitrary way to assign a date and time to a point in time that we're currently floating in. It's fairly accurate, but it's not perfect. After all we have a leap year, an extra day every 4th year, and a leap second that corrects for a one second mistake. It's a good measurement, but it's not that close to perfect. So if people many years apart share a birthday, is that really an accurate mirroring of time?

Just something I thought about.

I'll have to listen to the podcast later. These damn work computers don't have audio.

Reincarnation? I go back and forth on it. I really don't know if souls reincarnate, but if they do I believe that I was a courtesan in a former life because I have such an obsession with them in this one.

The first part of the show was really good. I've been interrupted all morning, so I'll have to listen to the second half this afternoon.

The "productional value" is noticably better. Good job.

rocketstar, I hope you get the chance to listen to the podcast. As far as reincarnation having a point, I'm not sure. It's something I ask often.

phats, Thanks! I haven't seen Federer yet at this year's French. I keep missing him.

brianalt, Again - thanks for your input. I hope the vocal volume was better on this one.

I don't think the calander is extremely accurate, but then again - if two events were a couple days off, skeptics could say, "Oh, but they're not the EXACT same dates."

But I think it has to get your attention when both Keene and Gen. Gordon were 30 when they had their "face/jaw" traumas.

KC, I think if reincarnation is true, I would have to agree with you. You seem to really have some sort of connection with that time period for sure.

ajooja, Thanks. I hope the 2nd half is as good or better than the first. I've been working to up the ante with this show. It's a work in progress.

goldennib, And when you're used to podcasts, then those people will start vlogging, or video podcasting! Hahahaha. I think there's a place for all of these mediums, though.

I wish Boise would get some of that air quality. It would really help the work day go by faster. And I am sure you know this since you live in the area, but never, ever go to the Arch on a holiday weekend. Man that place was a zoo. But it was fun people watching.

I believe there are hidden connections. I don't know why I'm drawn to certain places and people. In a past life, I must have been Greek, Persian, Norwegian, Hungarian, Hillbilly...you name it. I figured I just liked the Greek hospitality, but it was more than that..My best friend is from Crete, and I felt like she was my other half during med school. Then again, I feel it's a curse to be supersensitive as well. Had many ESP moments with friends--very bizzare!

Great podcast! Loved it, and I'm looking forward to YOUR past life experience!

I do believe in reincarnation. I was on the fence about it and then a few things happened to change my mind. Plus, I think it's illogical to believe in ghosts and not reincarnation. Some of those ghosts have GOT to get bored eventually... time for a new life!

I'm putting my order in for a skinny cow to make me skinny milk and butter.

Very interesting Keene/Gordon coincidences. Or ARE they coincidences.

I LOVE the rap song!!!!

I'll have the 7.5 piece chicken nuggets meal.
Thanks.
